This panel displays the equations to be used when cost is calculated for the selected element line. The equations are defined with a sequence number, indicating in which order the equations are handled at calculation time.
- Element
- The element line number and description.
- Sequence
- The sequence number indicates the order in which the equations are handled during the calculation.
- Description
- The description of the equation.
- Type of cost
- The code indicates when the calculation is to be performed.
Code Description 1 Material reporting 2 Operation reporting 3 Tools 4 Product reporting 5 Other cost
- Item type
- The code indicates the item type for which the equation should be performed.
Code Description 1 End item 2 Sub-assembly 3 Material 4 Purchased
- Oper cost type
- The code indicates the operation type for which the calculation is to be performed. This field is only valid when used in combination with Type of cost 2 (operation reporting).
Code Description 1 Internal cost reporting 2 Sub contract cost
- Calculate once
- Indicates if the equation only should be performed once. If this field is set to YES, the equation is performed when the manufacturing order is changed to started.
- Equation
- The formula that is used in the calculation. The formula can contain any or all of the following:
- Active system defined variables
Available variables are displayed in the Variables field. - Numeric constants (0-9)
A decimal sign may be used. - Arithmetic operators: +, -, *, /
- References to element lines
You can retrieve calculated totals from previous (lower) element lines by referring to the total type with the element line number. Valid total types are: T (total this level), L (total lower levels) and X (total includes both this level and lower levels). For example, the equation that is used to summarise line 10 to 30 can be entered in the following way: X010 + X020 + X030 - SEARCH(“User defined table”)
This system defined search function searches and returns a value from a user defined table. The table defines the search argument (keys) and the search method to be used. Note: This function is only valid if DC1 Product Configurator is installed and activated, and if the Cost/Contribution field is set to 2 (User defined) or 3 (User defined) for the element line.
