The Radio frequency terminal functions in the same manner as an iSeries terminal, except that the display size may vary depending on the device. (Two panel sizes exist; 20 x 16 and 40 x 8.) As transactions are completed on the R/F terminal, they are immediately visible on the iSeries. This can be illustrated when a picking instruction is confirmed; the item is automatically moved to the resource and can be viewed using the Warehouse location balances enquiry.

This is the initial R/F batch processing panel. From this panel you allocate the resource that the handler should use during processing. All open batches assigned to the handler, which is shown in the header, are listed first. These batches are marked with an asterisk (*) and cannot be selected by anyone else.

From this panel the warehouse operator (allowed user ID) can see all available activities. All necessary tasks needed for an R/F operator can be accessed from this program. You can select an R/F activity, then all open R/F batches for that activity will be displayed and can be selected for process. Through DC1 Job Control, you can set this program as your initial start program.

According to the setup, available activities are displayed for the R/F user. Therefore, different activity setups exist for different users, e.g., the warehouse responsible has all activities and pick operators have only picking, replenishment and location movements, etc.
