This panel displays all preventive service types defined for the selected object. You can add, change or delete entries. The Preventive service object file is updated.
When creating new records to Preventive service object file, the Preventive service calendar file is also updated. If the start date, the service interval or the service period has been changed, already existing records in Preventive service calendar file are updated. Start date, service interval and service period are used to calculate the calendar events for the Preventive service calendar file. The Service history file is updated.

Work with service objects, Preventive service information (SOR04804)
The entries on this panel are used to specify or display conditions of preventive service for service objects.
Note: When this program is called from Work with preventive service instead of from Work with service objects, the panel name will be Work with preventive service.
Note: If the service object is connected to a tool and the specified service type is used as Service type calibration, the start date, service interval and service period will not be used to calculate the calendar events for the Preventive service calendar file. A service order will be created automatically when the calibration point is reached for the tool.
- Preventive service
- Enter a code from the Preventive service type table, indicating the preventive service type you want to add to the file.
- Service interval
- Enter the frequency in weeks, indicating how often the preventive service order for the object should be generated. If not entered, the default service interval for the preventive service type will be used.
- Service period
- Enter the service period in weeks, indicating the time span in which the preventive service order for the object should be generated. If not entered, the default service period for the preventive service type will be used.
- Start date
- Indicate the date from which the period of preventive service will start. If not entered today’s date will be used.
- Next inspection date
- Enter the next inspection date for the object. If not entered, it will be calculated according to: Start date + service interval.
- Last inspected
- The latest preventive service order creation date, which is updated according to the preventive service calendar when the preventive service order is generated. However, when the SVC time is entered on the service order job header, a check is made against the preventive service calendar. If a record with order and job number is found, this field is set to the SVC time for the job.
- Recommended kit
- Enter a code from the Recommended kit table, indicating the type of action that needs to be taken for the object. When the preventive service order is generated, the system will retrieve the information defined in the kit to the order job and order lines.
- Order type
- Enter a code from the Sales order type table. The order type must be a service order type. If not entered, the default order type for the preventive service type will be used. The order type is updated to the new service order in the preventive service order generation. Note: A preventive service type should have a service order type with Pick list set to YES, if Update stock on hand is set to YES for the order type.
- Engineer
- Enter a code from the Service engineer table, indicating the engineer responsible for the object. Engineer is defaulted to the service order job in service order generation.
- Spare part warehouse
- Enter a code from the Warehouse table, indicating the spare part warehouse. Warehouse is defaulted to the service order header in preventive service order generation.

Note: The selected records are deleted from the Preventive service object file and the Preventive service calendar file. The Object history file is updated.
