This panel displays location balance information for a selected item and location. Use the Display option to view more details about the item or pallet.

Selection fields
- Warehouse
- Displays the warehouse that has been selected for the enquiry.
- Zone/loc
- Displays the selected zone and location.
- Unit
- If available, click the Stock unit and Dsp/entry unit function key to toggle between viewing the stock unit and display/entry unit for the item that occupies the location. See About display/entry unit handling for more information.
- Item
- Displays the item code for the item that occupies the location.
- Batch
- Displays the batch code for the item that occupies the location if it is under batch control.
- Order ref
- Displays the order reference number for balance on hold or in transit. The reference number can refer to either a purchase or a manufacturing order number.
- Line
- Displays the line number from the reference order.
- NCC no
- Displays the NCC number for NCC balance.
- Pallet no
- Displays the pallet number for pallet in stock.
- TR
- Indicates if the item is in transit.
- QC
- Indicates if the item is on hold awaiting quality control.
- AC
- Indicates if the item is on hold awaiting cost check.
- On hand
- Displays the quantity on hand for the item in this location or the owner of the location (if the owner information is displayed). If the unit is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, this quantity could display two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Int owner
- This column is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file. It displays the internal owner of the location balance.
- Ext owner
- This column is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file, and the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated. It is applicable for the physical warehouse for the Customer Deposit Stock (CDS) and Supplier Consignment Stock (SCS) inventory contract types. It displays the external owner of the location balance.
- Pallet type
- Displays the pallet type for the pallet in stock.
- Reserved
- Displays the reserved quantity for the item in this location or the owner of the location (if the owner information is displayed). If the unit is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, this quantity could display two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Available
- Displays the available quantity for the item in this location (On hand – Reserved) or the owner of the location (if the owner information is displayed). If the unit is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, this quantity could display two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. Warehouse location enquiry, Balance detail (WMR14204)
This panel displays detailed information about a balance record referring either to stock unit or pallets.
Function keys

Display in pick units | View the item balance in the different pick units, which have been defined for the item and location type combination. |
Display serial number | This function key is only displayed if the warehouse, zone, location and item assigned to the location has serial number tracking code. Access the Location balance enquiry, Serial numbers panel where you can view the serial numbers for the item that is stored/stocked in the location. |
- Warehouse
- Displays the warehouse in which the item is stored.
- Zone/location
- Displays the zone and location where the item is stored.
- Item
- Displays the item that occupies the location.
- NCC
- Displays the non-conformity certificate number.
- Order reference
- Displays the order reference number for balance on hold or in transit. The reference number can refer to either a purchase or a manufacturing order number.
- Batch
- Displays the batch code for the item that occupies the location if it is under batch control.
- On hold
- Indicates if the item is on hold.
- Transit balance
- Indicates if the item is in transit.
- Awaiting cost

- Pallet type
- Displays the pallet type for the pallet that is stored in this location.
- Loc/Item quantity
- Only shown for stock unit balance. Displays the item quantity in stock unit in this location or for the owner of the location (if the owner information is displayed on this panel). If the unit is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, this quantity could display two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Pallet qty on hand
- Only shown for pallet balance. Displays the quantity on hand for the pallet in this location.
- Quantity available
- Only shown for stock unit balance. Displays the available quantity in stock unit in this location (Loc/Item quantity – Res. for pick) or for the owner of the location (if the owner information is displayed on this panel). If the unit is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, this quantity could display two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Quantity available
- Only shown for pallet balance. Displays the available quantity for the pallet in this location (Pallet qty on hand – Res. for pick).
- Res. for pick
- Two types of values are displayed in this field.
- For stock unit balance: Displays the quantity in stock unit that has been reserved on the pick list. If there is an owner of this location displayed on this panel, it is retrieved from the owner of the location.
- For pallet balance: Displays the quantity on the pallet that has been reserved on the pick list.
- Free space (qty)
- Two types of values are displayed in this field.
- For stock unit balance: Displays the free space for the item in stock unit in this location. If the unit is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, this quantity could display two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - For pallet balance: Displays the free space in number of pallets based on the value entered in the Loc/Pallet capacity field.
- Loc/Item capacity
- Only shown for stock unit balance. Displays the item capacity in stock unit, which are available in this location. If the unit is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, this quantity could display two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Loc/Pallet capacity
- Only shown for pallet balance. Displays a value indicating the capacity of the location regarding the pallet type. This is defined on the Location size assignments panel in Work with pallet types.
- Quantity in pallet
- Only shown for pallet balance. Displays a value indicating the quantity for the pallet when it was created.
- Last put-away date
- Displays the last put-away date in this location.
- Stock take
- Displays the status of the stock take which is being performed against this location. No pick or put away to the location is possible before the stock take is finished. The system automatically updates this information.
Code Description BLANK Item is not under stock take. 1 The item is on a stock take list. No pick or put away suggestions can be produced for this item when the stock status is 1. When the Stock take update routine is run, code 1 will change back to blank. 9 If the Suspend if needed field was set to YES on the Stock take list printout: The item is suspended because there is an open activity (pick list) for the item in the location. This item is not included on the stock take list printout. No more activities can take place for the item in the location until the item has been counted.
The suspended item will be included on the stock take list when the open activity has stopped. (Set the Suspended only field to YES if you only want suspended items to be printed on the new stock take list). When the list is printed, the stock take status will be reset to 1 (Item is under stock take). When the item has been counted and the stock take list is updated, the stock take status will be reset to blank (Item is not under stock take).
Note: The Update stock take transactions routine only resets the status on items that are available on a stock take list, i.e. not with status 9.
- Location type
- Displays the location type that is used in this location.
- Stock take list
- Displays the stock take list number, if stock take is currently being performed against the location. The system automatically updates this information.
- Pick priority
- Displays a pick priority code (100-899) which is used to establish the priority in which this location should be considered for picking. A pick priority of 100 identifies this location as a primary pick location. Movements to a primary pick location will only be allowed for locations reserved by item.
- Put-away priority
- Displays a put away priority code (100-899) which is used to establish the priority in which this location should be considered for item put away (Goods reception). Locations with a put away priority of 100 will be the first considered for item put away.
- Stock category
- Displays a code from Work with stock categories indicating the stock category that has been assigned to the location. Item quantities in the location can then be viewed differently by DC1 than regular inventory, based on the definition of the associated quantity type(s). This allows the creation of locations that may contain item quantities that are on hold, damaged, unsellable, etc.
- Internal owner
- This field is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file. It displays the internal owner of the location balance.
- External owner
- This field is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file, and the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated. It is applicable for the physical warehouse for the Customer Deposit Stock (CDS) and Supplier Consignment Stock (SCS) inventory contract types. It displays the external owner of the location balance.
