Assign clients

To enable users to receive messages via the various client types (e-mail, fax, SMS, iSeries messages, etc.) you need to assign these clients to a user. This is to inform the system of the manners in which the user may be contacted.

  1. Select menu item Work with DC1 user profiles.
  2. You access the User profile table maintenance. Select the user that you want to assign a client to.
  3. On the detail panel, click Client to assign a client.
  4. You access the User profile table maintenance, Assign client panel. Select the client you want to assign to this user and then click Activate.
  5. Clients can be deactivated in the similar fashion. For other clients, it will also be necessary at times to enter the parameter values for an e-mail address (e.g. [email protected]), GSM telephone number (in format +4471785212365, for instance) and telephone numbers, via the Change option.

    Options Include and Exclude also permit you to easily include and exclude particular users to/from event types.

    Exit the routine.
