All available conversion programs are held in a file on company level. A conversion program converts one or several files. It is possible to select which programs that should be run for the conversion. If you want to run all the standard conversion programs you can skip this example and continue with Select the parallel files for system currency conversion. Selecting the appropriate conversion programs can be done in two different ways.
- Before the conversion is run. This will give you the possibility to complete this task ahead of time before the conversion is started. To select the conversion programs separately before the conversion is run, follow the instructions below.
- At the same time as the conversion is run. If you do not choose to select the conversion programs in advance you will have the possibility to do this upon starting the currency conversion.
- Select the Select conversion programs menu item.
- You access the Select conversion programs window with all available conversion programs for the company you are signed on to, i.e. only the conversion programs applicable for the active applications in the company are displayed. The following information is displayed:
- Sequence
- Displays in which sequence the conversion program will be run, in relation to other conversion programs.
- Appl
- Displays which application this conversion program belongs to.
- Program
- Displays the name of the conversion program.
- Status
- Indicates if the conversion program has been run. When you start the conversion all programs will have the field set to 0. The status will be updated once the conversion has started and will contain the following values:
Value Description 0 Conversion not started for this program. 1 Conversion started for this program, but did not complete normally. Will continue with this program when conversion is re-started. See Restart the system currency conversion for more information. 2 Conversion completed for this program. See Restart the system currency conversion for more information. - Description
- Displays the description of the conversion program, i.e. which files the program converts.
The first time you view this window all conversion programs will be marked as selected. Scroll to view more programs.
Exclude a program
To exclude a program from the conversion run, deselect the actual line.
Include a program
To include a non-selected conversion program in the conversion run, select the actual line.
Click OK when you have made your selection.
