The method type used is N (Normal). FOC discounting for items is only allowed for sales pricing method details that have a limit type defined but is not allowed for H type (Header discount) or O type (Order line summary) pricing methods. For more information on set up of FOC discounting see About setting up discounting via FOC items.

To create a pricing method and define FOC items do as follows:

  1. Repeat steps 1 through 3 in Set up a normal method and define the pricing/discounting.
  2. To define the FOC details do as follows:

  3. Highlight the applicable sales pricing method and click Details then FOC items.
  4. On the FOC items panel, click Add.
  5. You access Work with sales pricing methods, FOC items, Details. Complete the following fields:
  6. Quantity limit
Enter the quantity limit that must be met to be able to apply the FOC discount.
    FOC item
Enter the FOC item and its description.
    FOC unit
