Create a sales pricing method from a sales promotion

  1. Select the Work with sales promotions menu item.
  2. On the initial panel, select the sales promotion you want to work with and click Pricing method.
  3. You access Work with sales promotions, Pricing method. All fields are defaulted from the sales promotion file. The only field you need to complete is the following:
  4. Sequence
    Enter a unique sequence number between 1-99999. This specifies the order in which prices and discounts are searched in the system. Tip: You can prompt the Sequence field to see what sequences are currently used and by which promotion.

    Click Next to access the Ceiling control details.

  5. You access the Ceiling control panel. See Set up a promotion method and define the ceiling control values for details. Click OK to update.
  6. You access Work with sales pricing methods, Promotion details.
  7. There are five methods of calculating special prices:

    • Fixed price
    • Variable sales prices based on cost value
    • Limit dependent prices based on Quantity ordered
    • Retrieve price from a sales price list
    • FOC (Free-of-charge)

    This can be combined with three methods of calculating special discounts:

    • Unique Limit dependent pricing (based on Amount value or Quantity ordered for the key value in the sales pricing method)
    • Connect predefined Limit dependent pricing (limits and discounts held in a code)
    • Discounts with no limit restrictions
