Configure the system to send an alert message

To be able to send/receive alerts in DC1 the following must be set-up:

Work with DC1 user profiles
  • For each receiving user, click F2=Client and indicate how the user should receive the message (email, 5250 message, SMS, etc.)
  • The value (whether it be email address, message queue, etc.) must also be defined. Select the Change option for the applicable Client to define the information.
Event types table
  • Make sure the event is activated.
  • Activate the receiver(s) of the alert via the Receivers option. You can do this via a Role or User. (Roles are configured in the Role table. Several user’s can be attached to the role).
Data queue routines table
  • Make sure the AMTRDR data queue routine is started.
