Override authority group security using all object authority

The following describes how you can override secured objects using the all object authority function. The purpose of this function is to define if a user profile or a user group, i.e. group profile, has the authority to access all objects within a selected authority group.

Note: This option is only valid for authority groups, not program security.

  1. Select the Work with authority groups menu item.
  2. On the initial panel, select the authority group for which you want to define a user or user group as having all object authority and click Users
  3. You access Work with authority groups, Users. Click Add.
  4. On the detail panel, complete the following fields:
  5. User
    Enter the user or user group.
    Description
    The system will retrieve the description from Work with DC1 user profiles.
    All object authority
    Set to YES if you want the selected user or user group to have the authority to access all objects within the selected authority group. Note: The authority defined here overrides all other authorities defined in this table, for the selected authority group.

    Click OK to update.
