- Select the Work with program security menu item.
- You access Program security maintenance. Click Add.
- On the detail panel, enter the name of the program you want to secure and click OK. The system automatically retrieves the description for the program. Click Back to return to the main menu.
- Select the Work with program/user security menu item.
- You access Program/user security maintenance. Make your selection by entering information in either of the following fields:
- Program
- Enter the name of the secured program for which you want to maintain user accessibility.
- User profile
- Enter the user profile for which you want to maintain the accessibility of each secured program.
- You access the next Program/user security maintenance panel. On this panel you define if the user will be approved or denied access to the program. If, for example, you set the Access column to YES for user CECTIL then this user would be able to access the enquiry program that you are securing. Click OK, and then Back, to return to the main menu.
To exemplify, enter the Program and click OK.
If you entered a user profile to access this panel, all secured programs from the Program security table would be listed. Then it is possible to define rights for the entered user for each of the records.
When a user without authority tries to access a secured program the following message will be displayed: You are not allowed to access program (program name).
