The enquiry routines for sales and purchase orders are almost identical. The instructions below describe the routine for sales order enquiry. To access purchase order information, substitute sales order with purchase order in all routines, commands, and results outlined. Any other differences are noted.
Note: Before you use the sales and purchase order transaction enquiry routines, make sure that you familiarise yourself with the standard routine for object enquiry described in About working with objects in DC1 Analyser, where you will find full details of the Multimedia functionality. See Getting started in DC1 Analyser for information about creating shortcuts to favourite functions.
Viewing sales order information
The Sales order enquiry gives you the possibility to search for Sales order information or Sales order line information. Via the icons available, the menu commands or push buttons you can drill down to view a large amount of information.
Note: Since the default mode is search on Sales order level, this will be described below.
- Select the Sales orders menu item in the Supply Chain Analysis sub-menu, Object categories list or All functions list.
- You access the Sales order browser window.
- Order
- Enter the sales order number.
- Customer
- Enter the customer code.
- Status
- Enter the sales order status of the sales order.
- Handler
- Enter the handler of the sales order.
- Type
- Enter the sales order type.
- Salesperson
- Enter the salesperson.
- Note: In all the above entry fields, you can also use the System search method described in About working with objects in DC1 Analyser.
- You view the results of the search in the table list in the Sales order browser window. To access more sales order information, do as follows in the Sales order browser window:
- Either, select the sales order and choose Select, or Select menu item sales order.
- Or, click the sales order with the right mouse button to view the Sales order pop up menu and choose Sales Order/Show details.
- You access the Sales order enquiry window.

- Addresses
- You access the Sales order line enquiry window.
- Order
- Enter the order number.
- Item
- Enter the item code.
- Dispatch time
- Enter the dispatch time.
- Warehouse
- Enter the warehouse.
In the Enquire on box, you view the Order and Order lines radio button options. Here you determine whether to search for the sales order or the sales order line. The system default is the Order radio button.
If you tick the Order radio button option, you can enter some or all of the following information in order to determine the search term:
Note: When available, you can click the Find icon to the right of a field to retrieve and select from a list.
Purchase order
If running the Purchase order enquiry routine, the Purchase order browser window has a Supplier entry field instead of a Customer entry field and does not include the Salesperson entry field.
Click Find to run the search.
Note: To view the invoice, choose Sales Order/Show invoice in the pop up menu.
Toggle the following pages to browse, and in some cases, drill down to further information:
To view information on a sales order line, select the line in the table list below and click Select or Select menu item sales order line.
To view the sales order line history, click History.
To view the sales order header, click Header.
Running a search of sales order linesYou can also run a search of sales order lines.
If you tick the Order lines radio button option on the Sales order browser window, you first view the Sales order line browser window. You can enter some or all of the following information in order to determine the search terms:
To run the search, click Find.
