If you want to use the multimedia features supplied with the system you must define the default locations (set the path) where the media is stored from your PC’s perspective.
Note: If you are authorised to create new media locations (which is controlled on the iSeries via the Object security table), you can also set the path as well as create new multimedia locations via the Manage media locations menu item under the System Administration hierarchy.
- Expand System Administration and select Configuration.
- Toggle to the Media location page.
- You access the Configuration view window for the Media location page. For each multimedia you are planning on using you must set the path to where the files are stored. To make a media connection, see Multimedia connection for instructions.
