Configure your html property settings in DC1 Analyser

All information displayed in any table in DC1 Analyser can be generated to an html page and sent by e-mail to the appropriate recipient. A default template is supplied that dictates the look and colours. This html template (Htmlgen_template/) can be found in DC1 Analyser’s installation folder. You can modify this template to suit your needs or create a new and attach that one instead.

You can also decide the following:

  • How often the column header should appear on any generated html page.
  • If you want the generated html page to be stored in a specific folder.
  • If you want to modify or use another template than the supplied default.
  • If you want to retrieve different images than those in the template folder.
  • If you want to generate an html page without any images.

To configure your HTML property settings do as follows:

  1. Expand System Administration and select Configuration.
  2. Toggle to the HTML page.
  3. You access the default properties for any html pages you intend to generate (scroll to see all properties). If desired, change the number of lines after which the column header should be repeated on the generated html output.
  4. Click the Manage HTML creation and export options button if you want to change the default values.

  5. You access the Manage Generation and export options window. You can modify the options for the supplied Default or click the New icon to create new options.
  6. You access the Edit Generation and export option window. Complete the following fields as desired:
  7. Code
If creating new options, enter the code.
    Description
    Enter or change the description.
    Is default
Tick this option if you want this Generation and export option to be the default settings used for all generated html pages.
    Template
Leave the default template delivered with the system or connect to any other template.
    Allow external resources
Tick this option if you want to generate the html document with embedded external resources e.g. title image, graphical hierarchy presentation. The appearance of this looks good but it may be less useful if you want to attach the html document to an e-mail. In addition to the html document you will then have to send the referred resources (images) as well. If the generated html document will be sent as an e-mail attachment then it is recommended that you NOT allow external resources. You can always create several Generation and export options where you can differentiate between your needs (e.g., one for emailing and one when you just want to print/view the result).
    Resource path
The images generated in the html pages, using the default template, are stored in the Analyser installation folder. If you want to retrieve any other images, enter the path from which these image resources should be retrieved. If you leave this field blank, the images stored in the Analyser installation folder will be retrieved.
    Export path
Enter the location where you want to store the generated html.
    Export resources
Tick this option if you want any referencing images to be exported to the path stated in the Export path field.

Click Save and exit. When you proceed to generate an html page from any table view, you can always change these settings before the actual generation.
