You can create several supply plan versions, but only the base version (*BASE) is active and will affect the creation of purchase suggestions or the MRP. All other supply plan versions are simulations that can be used for testing purposes. You can create as many simulations as you like, and the same item can exist on several supply plan versions.
- Select the Work with supply plans (SP) menu item.
- On the initial panel, click Add to create a simulation version.
- You access Work with supply plan, Header. Complete the following fields:
- Version
- Enter the identity of the supply plan version.
- Description
- Enter the description of the supply plan version.
- SP horizon
- Enter the horizon in number of years ahead for the supply plan version. This value is retrieved from the IC control file, but can be changed.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
