The resource quantity is used to calculate the production capacity. It is defaulted from Work with SOP resources but can be changed. By changing the resource quantity you can simulate different resource solutions such as overtime, more employees or machines. The result of the resource simulation/calculation can be viewed on the Sales and operation plan enquiry, Resource allocation panel. Note: The resource demand quantity cannot be maintained on total level.
- Select the Work with sales and operation plans menu item.
- On Work with sales and operation plan, select the sales and operation plan you want to work with and click Details.
- You access Work with sales and operation plan, Included XXXXX. (Note: The sub-heading of this panel differs depending on what key value id is connected to the selected sales and operation plan). Select the key value id (Item group/family/sector or Department section) for which you want to maintain the resource demand quantity and click Resources.
- On Work with sales and operation plan, Resource demand, select the resource that you want to maintain and click Change.
- You access Work with sales and operation plan, Resource demand maintenance displaying detailed information for the resource that is connected to the selected SOP key value id. Complete the following field:
- Quantity
- Enter the resource quantity per forecast unit.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
