The supply plan calculation is used to create the supply values for the items. The calculation is based on the IC forecast and it should be run every new SP period. Only items for which Supply plan is set to YES in the Item file will be included in the calculation. You can narrow down the number of included items further by using selection fields, if available.
Apart from the supply plan calculation, the supply plan values can also be calculated from the following programs:
- Job schedule file
This job can only be run for the base supply plan version (*BASE), and no selection parameters are available. The Date SP calculation field in the IC control file will be updated when the inventory calculation has been run from this job. See Job schedule file for more information. - Work with supply plan
- Select the Start supply plan calculation menu item.
- You access Supply plan calculation. (Note: This panel can also be accessed by clicking SP calculation on Work with supply plan). Complete the following fields:
- SP version
- Enter the code and description of the supply plan version to be updated.
- SP horizon
- Enter the period number indicating the supply plan horizon. This value is defaulted from the IC control file, but can be changed.
You can also narrow down the number of included items using the available selection fields.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
