Calculate lower level requirements from supply plan

This is only relevant for the supply planning of manufactured items. It is important to calculate the supply needs for the components and the material that are included in the item structures.

The lower level requirements can be calculated from the following programs:

Inventory calculation
The supply quantity for the lower level material will be calculated based on the produced items in the base supply plan version if the Create lower level field is set to YES. See About working with inventory calculations for more information.
Job schedule file
Both the inventory calculation and the supply plan calculation can be run from this file. See Job schedule file for more information. Note: This job can only be run for the base supply plan version (*BASE), and no selection parameters are available.
Work with supply plan
The supply quantity for the lower level material will be calculated based on the produced items in the selected supply plan version. See Create lower levels from supply plan below for more information.

Create lower levels from supply plan

Select the Work with supply plans (SP) menu item.
On the initial panel, click SP LI calculation.
You access Supply plan lower level creation. Complete the following fields:

Calculate to level: Enter a number indicating the maximum number of levels to be handled.

Lead time adjustment: Indicate if requirements on lower levels should take the lead time into consideration when allocating the requirement date.

Click OK to create the lower levels. Exit the routine.

Create lower levels from supply plan calculation

Select the Start supply plan calculation menu item.
You access Supply plan calculation. Complete the following fields:

SP version: Enter the code and description of the supply plan version to be updated.

SP horizon: Enter the period number indicating the supply plan horizon. This value is defaulted from the IC control file but can be changed.

Create lower levels: Set to YES to denote that lower levels should be created for the supply plan.

You can also narrow down the number of included items using the available selection fields.

Click OK to calculate the supply plan values. Exit the routine.
