Customise a perspective

Related topics

You can modify the preloaded Perspectives in any way you find suitable; remove, add and rearrange panels within a perspective while you are working with it. Any changes will be temporary in your workspace unless you save the modified perspective (see below). You may also create a completely new perspective. The following describes the different steps.

Remove panels

  1. Select the Perspective you want to modify. All included panels are opened.
  2. Close the panel(s) you do not want to be included in the perspective by clicking the X sign.

Add new panels

  1. Select and open the panels that you want to include.

Save a modified perspective

When you have selected all panels that should be included in the perspective, arrange them in the way you want them to be presented the next time you open this perspective. When you save a modified perspective it is saved in the role file on your PC.

Caution: A modified preloaded perspective which is saved cannot be restored. It is, therefore, recommended that you save it using option Save perspective as to keep the original perspective available. (See step Create a new perspective below for instructions.)

  1. Click File/Perspective and select Save to save the modified perspective. Note: You have the option to save the perspective as your default. In that case, click File/Perspective and select Select startup perspective.
  2. A dialogue window is displayed:

Click OK to save the modified perspective.

Create a new perspective
