The edit description function can only be used for components. Use this function if you want the item description to reflect the components that were selected during product configuration. Enter a text or a code for each component in the Configurator item table. The text you enter will be added to the item description of the parent item when that component is selected.
- Select the Work with configurator items menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the configurator item for which you want to edit the item description and click Change.
- You access Configurator item maintenance. Complete the following field:
- Edit description
- This is only applicable for components and not parent items. Enter text to be added to the item description of the configured product. The text will be added to the item description at order entry.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
