The value text is used for the valid alternatives you select on the configuration panels. The value text is also printed on external documents when an alphanumeric attribute is used as a substitution variable for the configuration of text. See About configuring text in DC1 Product Configurator for more information. It is possible to enter the value text in several languages using the translation function. The Work with DC1 user profiles file defines in which of the languages the value text will be displayed during the configuration process.
- Select the Work with configurator attributes menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the applicable attribute and click Change.
- You access Configurator attribute maintenance. Select the value you want to translate and click Value text language override.
- You access Table translation file maintenance. The language codes from the Language table are displayed to the left on this panel. The original value text is defaulted and displayed in the appropriate language. Complete the following field for the applicable language:
- Translated value
- Enter a translation of the value text for the relevant language codes.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
