(Accounting) Change the cost price on a non-conformity certificate

The following describes the accounting transactions the system creates when you change a cost price on a non-conformity certificate. The system will create the following transactions, irrespective of the cost type. You use the Maintain non-conformity certificate cost menu item to change the cost price on non-conformity certificates.

Prerequisites

Quantity on certificate 5
Current cost price 10.00
New cost price 7.50

(New cost price – Current cost price) * Quantity on certificate

(7.50 – 10.00) * 5 = -12.50

This transaction decreases the non-conforming stock value for the quantity on the certificate

949 Non-conformity certificate cost price change 12.50   This is the cost for the non-conforming stock value change. This could be accounted on a cost account in DC1 Financials.
