If a scheduled departure is found for a sales order line, then it will automatically be added to a shipment that will be delivered along the route. Shipments will remain open until they are closed. Once a shipment is closed the system will no longer automatically assign sales order lines to it. However, these can still be added manually.
Note: If you are using the Shipment type functionality, then you can specify that automatic printouts should be done when a shipment is closed and that certain actions should be automatically performed, if specified for the shipment type.
- Select the Work with outbound shipments menu item.
- On Work with outbound shipments, Headers, select the applicable shipment and click Close.
- You access Work with outbound shipments, Close. Click OK to confirm the closure of the shipment, or Exit to cancel. Click OK.
- You return to the Headers panel. The shipment is now at status 45 (closed). Exit the routine.
