This is done directly in Work with carrier consignments and can be done whenever suitable.
- Select the Work with carrier consignments menu item.
- On the main panel, click Add.
- You access the detail panel. Complete the following fields:
- Carrier
- Mandatory entry. Enter the carrier company that should be assigned to the consignment and should deliver the goods.
- Customer
- Optional entry. Enter the customer number for the consignment.
- Address number
- Optional entry. Enter the customers delivery address that should apply for the consignment.
- Service code
- Mandatory entry. Enter a service code defined for the carrier company indicating the services you want to be provided for the consignment.
- Tip: If you enter a customer number and an address number, then the complete delivery address and the default service code is automatically retrieved from the customers address and MOT definitions in the Business partner file.
- Postal code
- If not automatically retrieved, the postal code must be entered.
- Country
- If not automatically retrieved, the country must be entered.
- No of packs
- Enter the number of packages included in the consignment.
- Weight
- Enter the total weight of the consignment. Mandatory entry if Mandatory weight is YES for the carrier.
- Reference
- Enter a search reference for the consignment, for example the pick list number, if it exists.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
