The following describes how to pre-account a purchase requisition line.
- Select the Work with purchase requisitions menu item.
- You access Work with purchase requisitions, Requisition headers. Select the requisition you want to pre-account and click Lines.
- You access Requisition lines. Select the applicable line and click Pre-accounting.
- You access Pre-accounting maintenance.
- Account part 1 – 8
- Enter the account number(s) for the applicable account parts.
- You return to Requisition lines. Click Back to exit the requisition.
Depending on how many account parts are used in your company, a number of fields are displayed. A maximum of eight parts can be displayed. In addition, the lead texts of the fields are retrieved from the G/L control file in DC1 Financials. The Account file in DC1 Financials holds information about which account parts have to be completed for particular main accounts. This means that the system will verify that the required information has been entered in the correct field(s). If not, an error message is displayed.
Click OK.
The pre-account information entered is only used if a purchase order is created from the requisition, since the account number is copied to the purchase order line. For more information about pre-accounting purchase orders, see About pre-accounting purchase orders.
Change pre-account info
The pre-account information can be changed any time, but if a purchase order has been created from the requisition, the changed account numbers will not be updated on the purchase order. The purchase order has to be updated manually. Refer to Pre-account one single order line at order entry.
