Release orders for invoicing

To manually release an order for invoicing, and thereby continue with its processing do as follows:

  1. Select the Release orders held for invoicing menu item.
  2. All orders that are held from invoicing will be displayed once they have reached status 45. Note: A checkmark in the POD column means that the order is being held because of Proof-of-delivery requirements. It is automatically displayed in the column if the Proof of del hold field is set to YES in both the Sales order type table and in the Business partner file (Customer file panel).
  3. Selection fields
    The following selection fields are used to search through the records or to control the order in which they are displayed:

    Order
    Enter the number of the order you want to display first at the top of the panel.
    OT
    Enter the sales order type to display all held orders of this type.
    Handler
    Enter the handler to only display all held orders for this employee.
    Customer
    Enter the customer number to display all of the customer’s held orders.
    POD
    Set to YES if only those orders being held from invoicing, due to Proof-of-delivery check, should be displayed. Set to NO if only those orders being held from invoicing, due to Proof-of-delivery check, should not be displayed.

Release options
To release the orders you have the following options:

  • Highlight the applicable order and click Release invoice. The system will release the order without further notice.
  • You can release several orders at a time.
  • Maintain an order. Highlight the applicable order and click Maintain order. Click the Header function key on the Order lines panel to access Order header, main info. Toggle to the Additional info 2 tab. Change the Hold invoice field to NO and click OK to update and exit.
