The roles are set up in the Roles table and connected to each user in Work with DC1 user profiles. The views will be available to the user with this specific CMC role when accessing the CMC panel.
- Select the Roles menu item.
- You access the Work with roles panel listing all the roles that are preloaded in your system. Note: The CMC view column denotes which roles are attached to CMC views. The procedure of how to add a new role is not covered here. Refer to the Panel help for instructions. Select the role to which you want to attach a view and click the Select CMC view option.
- You access Work with CMC roles, Select views. Select the view you want to attach and click Select. The Selected column is set to YES denoting that the view will be available for the role, which is displayed at the top of the panel. Note: You can also connect any of the preloaded views and options to the new CMC role.
Connect a view to an option
To attach the option and sub-option to the view that you selected, do as follows:
- On the same Work with CMC roles, Select views panel, select the view you just attached to the role you are working with and click Select CMC options.
- You access Work with CMC roles, Select options listing all of the options available under the selected view. Select the applicable option and click Select. The Selected column is set to YES denoting that the option will be accessible within the view for the role.
Assign the role to a user
To make the view and its options and sub-options available on the CMC panel, the CMC role must be assigned to the user. This is done via the CMC role field in Work with DC1 user profiles.
