An order structure is a group of items (parent item and components) that are connected to each other and sold as a whole.
The following describes the retrieval of an order structure where you have the possibility to either add or delete component lines and/or component quantities.
Prerequisites
The Changeable field in the Structure type table must be set to YES for the structure type connected to the parent item.
- Repeat steps 1 through 3 in Manually enter a sales order.
- On the Order lines panel, enter the code for the parent item (this parent item should be defined as Changeable) in the Item/Assortment field and quantity in the Quantity field. Click OK.
- You access the Structures panel, displaying both the parent item and all components in the order structure. (Note: If the parent item is a fictitious item, the Order line, main info panel will be displayed before this panel. This is because you always have to enter/confirm the cost price for an order line with a fictitious item.) You have several options on this panel. You can:
- Change the Quantity, Dispatch date and Critical status of the parent item (in the upper section of the panel).
- Add new component lines. Click Add. The input fields are displayed on the bottom of the panel. Add the information and click OK.
- Change the Quantity and Unit of a component line.
Make your changes and click one of the following function keys:
- Click All unmarked lines if you want to copy all component lines that are not marked.
- Mark the lines you want to copy and click All marked lines.
- You return to the Order lines panel where the system displays both the added parent item line and component lines. Note: Whether or not the component lines are displayed with a price, depends on how the structure type used for the order structure was set up.
