What happens at update?
This depends on the following parameters of the portfolio type:
Portfolio accounting | |
YES | G/L postings are created. |
NO | No G/L postings are created. |
Consolidated payment | |
YES | The portfolio documents will receive status 2 (payment confirmed) upon update. |
NO | The portfolio documents will receive status 1 (remitted to bank) upon update. Payment confirmation will be a separate step. |
Automatic settlement | |
YES | A payment transaction, to the A/R, will automatically be created at confirmation. The portfolio documents will receive status 3, paid, upon update. |
NO | You must settle the document in the manual entry routine for A/R. |
Consolidated closing | |
YES | The portfolio documents will receive status 3 (closed) upon update. |
NO | The status of the portfolio documents will depend on the Consolidated payment parameter. Closing will be performed via a separate menu item, Close A/R portfolio. (See Close a bill by expiration.) |
One remittance letter to each bank in the proposal will also be printed. Exit the routine.
