- Select the Work with budgets menu item.
- You access Budget number selection. Select the budget you want to maintain.
- On the Budget maintenance panel, click Profiles.
- You access Budget profile selection where you can select a budget profile to be used when entering a budget. Click Maintain profiles.
- You access Budget number profile maintenance where all available budget profiles for this budget definition are shown. Click Add to create a new record.
- You access Budget number profile maintenance. Complete the following fields:
- Profile
- Enter the profile number.
- Name
- Enter the profile description
- Alias default value
- Enter a default value for Balance type alias if you want to enter budget values only against this type.
- Protect budget curve
- Set to YES if you want to protect the Budget curve field when maintaining budgets.
- Protect total amount
- Set to YES if you want to protect the Amount to allocate field when maintaining budgets.
- Protect mult factor
- Set to YES if you want to protect the Mult factor field when maintaining budgets.
- Sequence
- Enter the number in which order this key should be displayed.
- Default value
- If this key should have a default value, enter it here.
- You access Budget number profile maintenance where you define the fields that are to be open for input (set to NO) during Budget maintenance, or protected from input (set to YES). Click OK.
- You access Select key values, Budget number profile maintenance allowing you to select the range of values that you want to include in the budget, against the selected budget keys. Click OK to return to Budget number profile maintenance (step 6 above).
Under Selected keys you can enter the following information per key:
Click OK.
Finally, click OK to update and exit the routine.
