DC1 Inventory Control consists of a number of programs designed to analyse the historic, present and future stock situation. While the inventory calculations and the purchase suggestions functions make up the day-to-day part of the system, the inventory analysis provides a high-level analysis tool.
Many of these analysis functions are combined with update functions that make it possible to mass update groups of items identified by common criteria.
Printouts
- Excess stock list printout – Identifies excess stock.
- Slow moving stock list printout – Identifies slow moving stock that may require special attention when establishing criteria for the inventory calculations and purchase suggestion functions. After identifying slow movers, you can establish manual override values for the purchase control values in the Item/Warehouse file.
- Demand variation list printout – Analyses item demand and identifies items that have abnormal variation in demand during a specified time period. This is intended to identify unusual increases or decreases in demand that you do not want to influence forecast.
- Trend list printout – Analyses item demand and identifies items that show a trend pattern.
- Season profile list printout – Analyses item demand. It looks at seasonal changes in demand, allows you to create new season profiles based on the analysis, and update items with the newly created season profile.
- Lead time list printout – Measures the real item lead time. Through this function the system can automatically update the lead time for each item.
- Inventory turnover list printout – Calculates the inventory turnover rate and tied up capital for items on a yearly basis.
- Reception analysis list
- Supplier service level list printout – Evaluates the level of service your suppliers give you. It looks at how often you receive the goods you request from a certain supplier, when you request them.
- Customer service level list printout – Analyses the customer service level you provide. That is, how often your customers receive the goods they order, when they order them.
- Stock value simulation list printout – Allows you to change EOQ, ROP, SST, cost price, and planning time under simulated conditions to see what effect the changes have on stock value.
- Period forecast analysis report – Provides a base for long term purchase planning, capacity planning and supplier contracts.
