Analyse and update the season profile

Related topics

Using this function, the system analyses how demand is spread over the year. You can create a season profile based on the selection, and assign it to specific item/warehouse combinations.

The History years field in the IC control file defines the number of years that should be analysed. The analysis is performed on all historical periods. This does not include the present period.

For all item/warehouse records in the selection, the percentage of sales (demand plus demand adjustment from the Forecast file) is calculated per forecast period. The percentage is added to the total percentage field per period. Finally, the total percentage fields per period are analysed to get a final season weight per period, based on all selected item/warehouse combinations.

Note: This routine also allows you to interactively work with the season profile analysis before the actual update to the system is performed. This is described in Work with a season profile analysis.
