The following describes how to work with the calculated lead time values in the analysis before updating the lead time in the Item/Supplier information file.
- Follow the instructions in Analyse and update the lead time.
- On the Lead time list printout/update panel, complete the following additional fields:
- Update item file
- Set to NO.
- Update in work file
- Set to YES to indicate that you want to update the created report in a work file in order to analyse the result before updating the system.
- Lead time ID
- Enter an ID to identify the lead time analysis report that you are creating.
- ID description
- Enter a description of the lead time ID.
- Select the Work with lead time ID menu item.
- You access Work with lead time ID, Header from where you can delete the complete analysis report or display the header details of the analysis. If you click Change, then you can change some of the header details. Select the analysis report that you created in steps 1-2 above and click Details.
- You access Work with lead time ID, Details showing the items connected to the lead time analysis report. Select the applicable item and click Change.
- You access the Line details panel. You can change the following field:
- New lead time
- Displays the new lead time that was the result of the analysis, but can be changed.
- Return to the initial Header panel and select the analysis that you have changed. Click Update.
- You access Work with lead time ID, Update showing the analysis you selected. Enter the applicable printing parameters and click OK to update. The system prints the analysis report and now updates the Item/Supplier information file with the new lead time values. At the same time, the analysis report is being removed from the work file. Exit the routine.
Enter the applicable print parameters and click OK.
What to do next?
You now have the possibility to retrieve the analysis and work with the analysis result.
Click OK. The system updates the analysis in the work file.
