Note: You cannot replace an existing BOM/BOR. The item must either lack a bill of material or bill of routing, or you will have to create a new variant of the item.
Note: You can also create a new BOM/BOR from the Product costing enquiry.
- Perform a simulation as described in Simulate a cost calculation.
- On Product costing online, Overview, click Create BOM/BOR.
- You access Create bill of material and bill of routing. Complete the following fields:
- Item
- Enter the item that should be used to create the new BOM/BOR.
- Variant
- If the item already has an existing BOM/BOR, enter a number to create a new variant.
- Maintain
- Indicate if the new item structure should be maintained by ticking one of the following: No, Yes, Bill of material, or Yes, Bill of routing. If you choose to maintain the new structure you will access either the Structure maintenance, Bill of material or the Bill of routing panel. For this task, select No.
Click OK to create the new item structure. Exit the routine.
