Manually create a manufacturing order

Several manufacturing order types exist. The manufacturing order type determines:

  • What order status the order will get.
  • If order network will be created. (See Create a manufacturing order network for information about order networks.)
  • How the reporting of material and operation is to be handled.
  • What shop floor documents are to be printed.
  • If the order should be included in the manufacturing order history after the production of the item.

For detailed information about the conditions defined by the different order types, see the Panel help for the Manufacturing order types enquiry.

  1. Select the Work with manufacturing orders menu item.

If the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) function is activated in the Function control file, the warehouse entered must be classified as a normal or trade (logical) warehouse (i.e. the Warehouse characteristic flag in Work with warehouses must be set to 1 (normal) or 2 (trade). See About the stock ownership functionality for more information.
