Define phantom items in an item structure

The phantom items that you define in an item structure will always be treated as a phantom item. Note: It is not possible to delete a phantom item for a specific manufacturing order. The only way to delete a phantom item is to change the definition in the item structure.

  1. Select the Work with structures menu item.
  2. On the initial panel, select the parent item for which you want to define phantom items and click Change mtrl.
  3. You access Structure maintenance, Bill of material. Select the item you want to define as a phantom item and click Change.
  4. On the Structure maintenance, Bill of material detail panel complete the following field:
    5. Phantom item
    Set this field to YES indicating that the item should be defined as a phantom item.

    Click OK.

  5. You return to the initial Structure maintenance, Bill of material panel. Repeat steps 3 and 4 if you want to define more sub-assemblies as phantom items. Otherwise, exit the routine.
