Create user groups

To more efficiently personalise your site, you can bundle a number of users into groups. Several users will then refer to this group and thereby inherit all attributes assigned to the group or defined on Application level.

Note: Even if a user belongs to a user group, you can still override any attributes on user level.

Attributes can be assigned on the following levels:

  • Application
  • User group
  • User

Override of attributes is possible on User group and User level.

The attributes you can assign to a User group (or override from Application level) are:

  • Settings (some are preloaded on Application level).
  • Text that will appear on selected pages, during a specified time interval (if desired), for the users belonging to the user group.

To create a user group, do as follows:

  1. Select User group.
  2. You access the User group page. Click New.

    Enter the applicable information and click OK.
