Assign service kits to items

Assigning a new kit to an item is useful when the contents of the kit is specific to a given item or set of items. In the service order handling, when entering a kit, the system will check if the kit is assigned to the object item. If not, a warning is issued.

  1. Select the Work with kit assignment menu item.
  2. On the initial panel, select the applicable item and click Select.
  3. You access Work with kit assignment, Assigned listing the kits (if any) that are already assigned to your selected item. To view all assigned and unassigned kits toggle the Show all kits function key.
  4. You access Work with kit assignment, All listing all assigned and unassigned kits. Select the new unassigned kit that you want to assign to an item and click Assign. Click OK again to confirm. The Assigned field has been updated with YES meaning the kit is now assigned to an item. Exit the routine.
