  1. Select the Work with time rules menu item.
  2. On the initial panel, which displays a list of warehouses and weekdays with the appropriate start and stop times, click Add.
  3. You access Time rule maintenance. Complete the following fields:
  4. Note: If the As field is empty all fields must be filled in. The As field refers to an already defined day. For example, if Tuesday has the same defined time rules as Monday then it is possible to define Tuesday as Monday. In this case you would enter the day number for Monday (1) in the As field when you define the time rules for Tuesday.

    Warehouse
Enter the warehouse code from the Warehouse table. When engineers are booked for the job, the order warehouse is used to find start and stop hours for the engineer calendar. When hours are split via time registration, the engineer warehouse is used to find time rules for splitting.
    Basic time level
Enter the time level from the Basic time level table. This defines the engineer’s daily work hours. Basic time level from the Engineer table is used to find the proper time rule to split hours entered in time registration.
    Day of week
Enter the numeric value for the day of the week (Monday = 1, Sunday = 7).
    Start (order)
Enter the start time in hours for the day of the week for the given time type. If time type is Normal Time with Basic time level 100, this is used as the start hour of the day in the service planning (if only normal hours are considered). When splitting engineer hours, start time is used to find Time type.
    Stop (order)
Enter the stop time in hours for the day of the week for the given time type. If time type is type Normal Time with Basic time level 100, this is used as stop hour of the day in the service planning (if only normal hours are considered). When splitting engineer hours, stop time is used to find how many hours have been worked with the specific Time type.
    Type (order)
Enter the type of time according to the Time type table. Time type is used to find what service item should be used for the calculated amount of hours.
Note: In the Time type table the Own code field is the same as the Type field in the Time rules.
Note: The Time no field (connected to the Own code field) in the Time type table, together with the given service item, is used to find the right service item from the Service item split table. If Time number is 1, the given service item is used. If Time number is 2, the first overtime item from the split table is used. If Time number is 3, the second overtime item from the split table is used. A maximum of 6 overtime items can be connected to one normal time item.
    Start (engineer)
Enter the start time in hours for the day of the week. The entered value is used for calculating the engineer’s salary and is not used directly in DC1 Service.
    Stop (engineer)
Enter the stop time in hours for the day of the week. The entered value is used for calculating the engineer’s salary and is not used directly in DC1 Service.
    Type (engineer)
Enter the type of time according to the Time type table.

If time rules for a public holiday have been defined, then the following fields are mandatory (if the day in the Calendar file is defined as a public holiday, then the values of these fields are used when splitting the time in Time registration):

    Start (order)
Enter the start time in hours for the day of the public holiday for the given time type. If time type is type Normal Time with Basic time level 100, this is used as the start hour of the day in the service planning (if only normal hours are considered). When splitting engineer hours, start time is used to find Time type.
    Stop (order)
Enter the stop time in hours for the day of the public holiday for the given time type. If time type is type Normal Time with Basic time level 100, this is used as the stop hour of the day in the service planning (if only normal hours are considered).
Note: The Time no field that is connected to the Own code field in the Time type table, together with the given service item, is used to find the right service item from the Service item split table. If Time number is 1, the given service item is used. If Time number is 2, the first overtime item from the split table is used. If Time number is 3, a second overtime item from the split table is used. A maximum of 6 overtime items can be connected to one normal time item.
    Start (engineer)
Enter the start time in hours for the public holiday. The entered value is used for calculating the engineer’s salary and is not used directly in DC1 Service.
