This document describes how DC1 Warehouse Management is integrated with DC1 Manufacturing.
Manufacturing order handling
Manufacturing order material issue
If Warehouse Management controlled items are issued for a manufacturing order, then you have to enter a zone and a location. For pallet handled items, you must also enter the pallet number.
When a kitting list is printed the suggested zone and location will be allocated to the manufacturing order according to the rules for how the search for available location on warehouse/zone/location item are set up.
Manufacturing order reception
If Warehouse Management controlled items are received on a manufacturing order, then you have to enter a zone and a location. For pallet handled items, you must also enter the pallet number.
Zone and location must also be entered in the Quality control function and on the NCC.
Kitting list printout
The kitting list will be printed if the manufacturing order type is defined to print the pick list, and if one or several components on the manufacturing order are warehouse management controlled.
Apart from displaying information about the components of the manufacturing order, the kitting list also displays the suggested pick and put away zones and locations.
Replenishment
In the planning functions (MRP, pull-planning) for order proposal calculation and order re-schedule indication, the quantity types are taken into considerations. For example, if items reside in a location defined with the quantity type “Unsellable”, then the quantity in the location will be reduced from the “on hand” quantity for the item.
