Work with the received lines

Once you have started the reception process, you can compare the received quantity to the ordered quantity. You are also able to create new pallet lines, if necessary. This is described in Create new pallet lines.

The following sections are included:

Accept that all suggested quantities have been received

  1. Follow the instructions in Start the goods reception process for a purchase order.
  2. You access Work with purchase order reception displaying the lines that are ready to be received according to the information entered on the previous panel. The following fields apply:
    3. Order qty
    Displays the quantity on the purchase order.
    Sugg rec qty
    Displays the suggested received quantity. This value is automatically calculated when the order is selected for reception.

    Click Accept suggested to confirm that all the received quantities are equal to the suggested quantities.

  3. You remain on the same panel where Rec qty is now updated with the suggested quantities and automatic pallet lines are created according to the default pallet size as per the Item/Warehouse pallet definition.

    4. Note: If pallet lines are not automatically created, then you must configure them manually. See Create new pallet lines.

    Note: You have to click Exit to regret and leave the program without action.

    Change the received quantity

    Although you have accepted all suggested quantities, you can still change the received quantity on this panel.

You have two options:

Option 1
  1. You can change the quantity directly on Work with purchase order reception. The following field applies:
    2. Rec qty
    Enter the correct received quantity.

    To confirm the line with zero quantity, you have to enter the figure “0”. If you leave the field blank, then the line reception is considered not confirmed. Click OK.

  2. You remain on the same panel and Tot rec qty is now updated according to your change.
Option 2
  1. On the Work with purchase order reception panel, select the applicable line and click Change.
  2. You access the Order line details panel. The following field applies:
    3. Received quantity
    Displays the received quantity per pallet, if specified, and the applicable unit. Enter the correct quantity received.

    Click OK.

  3. You return to the previous panel where Tot rec qty is now updated according to your change. When you are satisfied with your changes, you are ready to confirm the received lines. Follow the instructions in the next section.

Confirm the received lines

Once you have accepted the suggested quantity and adjusted the received quantity, if applicable, then you are ready to confirm the received lines.

  1. On the Work with purchase order reception panel, click Confirm to automatically receive the confirmed lines. Exit the routine.

Conclusion
The system now automatically creates a put away instruction for each pallet (from receiving location to stock location) and put away labels are automatically printed for each pallet. The R/F operator completes the put away, scans the pallet ID, R/F suggests the put away location, the pallet is moved and confirmed into the put away location.
