Create a pallet from existing stock

The location movement program can be used to create new pallets from existing stock units in a location.

  1. Select the Enter location movements menu item.
  2. On the Location movements, Movement panel, click Create pallet.
  3. You access Location movements entry, Create pallet. The following fields are mandatory:

    Enter the warehouse for which the location movement is created.
    Item
    Enter the item that is to be stored on the new pallet.
    Quantity
    Enter a value indicating the size of the new pallet.
    F Zone/F Location
    Enter the zone and location in which the item exists, and from where it should be moved to the new pallet.
    T Zone/T Location
    Enter the zone and location to which the new pallet should be moved.
    Pallet type
    Enter the pallet type for the pallet being created.
    Label
    Indicate if a pallet label should be printed. Set to YES.
    Partial
    Indicate if a partial pallet should be created for the entered quantity as quantity on hand. Set to NO.
    When a partial pallet should be created, the default pallet configuration is retrieved from the Warehouse management panel in the Item file (Quantity in pallet, which specifies the full pallet size, and Pallet type). If a default does not exist, then the full pallet size is set to actual quantity + 1. A pallet is considered as partial when actual quantity is less than Quantity in pallet.

    Click OK.

  5. Since you chose to print the pallet label, you access a print control panel. Complete the printing options and click OK. The system processes the pallet creation and movement and updates the balance information. Click Shift info to view the pallet number. Exit the routine.
