Working with replenishment suggestions (DC1 Warehouse Management)

Related topics

Using this function, you can replenish (refill) item assigned and component locations with stock from overstock locations. This is typically done when a location falls under the replenishment level that is defined in Work with warehouse locations. When the stock on hand is below this level, a replenishment suggestion must be created.

Item assigned locations

Item assigned locations are reserved for one item only, and are typical pick locations.

Component locations

Replenishment suggestion creation

Replenishment suggestions can be created either manually or automatically for a location. This is defined by the Auto replenish field in Work with warehouse locations. If automatic replenishment is used, then you must define default values for the replenishment suggestion creation in Work with warehouses/Replenishment defaults.

Replenishment suggestions can only be created if the item is available in another location. A combined pick/put away suggestion will be printed to inform you about where to pick the item, how much to pick, and where to put it. Note: Locations can only be replenished from locations with lower pick priorities.

Replenishment suggestion confirmation

Once the replenishment suggestion has been created, whether it was manually or automatically, it must be confirmed since it will otherwise be considered open. A replenishment suggestion will not be created for an item/location if an open replenishment suggestion already exists for the item/location. Also, the quantities in the From location for the replenishment that have not been confirmed will be allocated and unavailable for other replenishment or pick suggestions. However, open replenishments will still be available for pick and all other inventory movements.
