The batch rule defines how R/F batches should be created and the type of instructions that can be included in the batch.
Batch rules can be created for shipments and stock takes. For each instruction type (Pick, Put away from bulk, Replenishment and Stock take), several batch rules can be created with different selection criteria specified.
The selection options and restrictions can, for example, be used to define that:
- Only one R/F batch is created per order.
- Several orders are grouped together in one R/F batch.
Using the size restrictions you can define that only small, medium, or large batches should be grouped. You can also define batch rules for a specific zone, resource group, or sales order type.
By grouping certain instructions you can optimise the shipment and stock take processes in your warehouse. Using this function is efficient as the related instructions, whether they are related because of size, location or other criteria, will be processed at the same time.
- Select the Work with batch rules menu item.
- On the main panel, click Add to create a new batch rule.
